Action Required!
The next release of TunerStudio
will require a 1.8 JRE. To be clear version 3.1.06 and higher.
This is required for us to use some of the newer features of the 1.8 Java platform.
To check what JRE you are running, check in the TunerStudio About dialog, found on the main menu under:
Help --> About
The JRE your install of TunerStudio is using will be displayed as the Java Runtime Version.
If this says 1.8 or higher, you are all set and need to take no further action.
If this starts with 1.7, you must update your JRE to the recommended 1.8 JRE before taking the TunerStudio Update.
To Update your JRE:
Windows Users:
It is recommended you download and run a
current TunerStudio installer. This will install an updated JRE for
you. The installer can be downloaded from:
http://tunerstudio.com/index.php/downloads
Linux users:
This is generally done using your pacakge manager. There are several
articals on the Internet giving step by step instructions. Here is one
that covers several distros:
