3D Table Editor
Overview:
The 3D table view is displays the
same data that is viewable in the standard Table Editor, only the data is
displayed to show depth on all 3 axis’ (X, Y & Z) compared to the standard
editor that displays only the X & Y axis with a numeric value for the Z
axis. Typically the X, Y and Z axis’ represent the following:
Warning! Some features only Available on Registered Versions.
- X Axis - is usually RPM for most tables.
- Y Axis - Is most commonly MAP in kPa, but will often be MAP/baro,
TPS ADS, MAF volts or many others depending on your setup, firmware, settings
and the table you are viewing.
- Z Axis - Depends on the table type you
are viewing, for a VE table the values will be VE (%) values, a Spark table
will be the spark advance value, and AFR table the AFR and so on...
Usage:
The 3D editor primarily provide a visual represntation of the Z values
(VE, Spark Advance,
AFR...), and an easy way to adjust them as you see each value as it relates to the surrounding values.
To adjust the table values, you must first
select the coordinates you wish to edit, then increase or decrease the values.
The selected table position will be highlighted with a red bulb:

You may move to different points on the table by clicking on them with the Mouse,
or it is typically much more practical to use the keyboard for navigatation. The Hot keys to navigate
are listed below. Points on the table that have been edited since you began will be highlighted with a
yellow dot.
Hot Keys:
- Up, Down, Left and Right Arrows - Move the selected point.
- Increase & Decrease Z values
- Shift + (Up or Right) - Increment selected point by 1
- Shift + (Down or Left) - Decrement selected point by 1
- (> or . or q or + or =) keys - Any of these will increment selected point by 1
- (< or , or w or - ) keys - Any of these will decrement selected point by 1
- CTRL + Shift + (Up or Right or > or . or q or + or = ) - Multiple increment selected point by a user set amount(default 5x)
- CTRL + Shift + (Down or Left or < or , or w or - ) - Multiple decrement selected point by a user set amount(default 5x)
- CTRL + any increment key - Multiple increment selected point by a user set amount(default 5x)
- CTRL + any decrement key - Multiple decrement selected point by a user set amount(default 5x)
- G - Jump the selected point to the current active position.
- F - Toggle Follow Mode on and off. When on, the selected point will follow the active point automatically.
- M - Increase the Yaw Angle of the table by 10 degrees.
- K - Decrease the Yaw Angle of the table by 10 degrees.
- N - Increase the Roll Angle of the table by 10 degrees.
- J - Decrease the Roll Angle of the table by 10 degrees.
- Z - Show top down view of table.
Features:
- Color Shade - When on, the table will be shaded with coloring based on the relative Z value. When off a
wire frame style will be displayed.
- Even Spacing - Normally each X and Y grid line is spaced relative to th value. The would place a
4000 RPM line and 4200 RPM line much closer together than a 4000 RPM and 4500 RPM grid line. However, on some tables,
such as Alpha-N VE Tables you can have high concentration areas and it may be easier to see the positions with
allgrid lines evenly spaced independent of value, activating Even Spacing will provide this.
- Follow Mode - If off, your selection point will be set only by navigating with the keyboard or mouse.
By activating Follow Mode, the selected point will continually move to the point of the map the engine is running
at.
- Z Axis Scale - This slider to the right of the 3D table adjusts the relative height of the table.
- Yaw Adjuster - This slider at the bottom of the 3D table adjusts Yaw Angle of the grid around the Z axis
allowing a view from the front, sides or back.
- Roll Adjuster - This slider to the left of the 3D table adjusts the roll angle of the table allowing for a
view from the top or bottom.
Options:
- Smart Select Movement - When on, the arrow keys will alter the selection direction so that the right
key will alwasy move to the right most point, left to the left most and so on regardless of the table roll and yaw
angle. If off, the Up/Down keys will always move up and dow the Y axis, left and right key always along the X axis.
- Show Active Table Values - When on, the selected and active Z values will be displayed on the grid.
- Show Selected X & Y Values - When on, the selected X & Y values will be displayed along the appropriate axis.
- Increment All Active Cells - This is off by default, but if on this only effects adjustments made when connected to
a Controller and in Follow Mode. With these conditions met, increments of Z values will be applied to all table values
that are currently active with a weight above the set value. This allows adjusting up to 4 table values at once if they are
close enough to the active point. If off, only the selected point will be adjusted.
- Active Weight Threhold - Only enabled if Increment All Active Cells is On. Allows for changing the
weight used to determine what table values or Cells are adjusted. Valid values are 0 - 100% where 0% would
always allow all 4 points adjust, 100% would only allow 1 point to move if it had a dead on hit.
- Select Active Color - Allows youto change the color of the Active Point and Active text.
By default the Active Point will be seen as a blue ball
- Select Selected Color - Allows youto change the color of the Selected Point and Selected text.
By default the Selected Point will be seen as a red ball
- CTRL Increment By - When depressing the CTRL key while adjusting table values, they will adjust by
multiple values (default 5), this option allows you to change the multiple.
